Northlink Ferries Company

NorthLink Ferries has recently upgraded their ferry service. Ferries depart from Stromness for the port of Scrabster on the Scottish mainland two or three times daily. This journey takes approximately 90 minutes.

NorthLink Ferries fleet includes three new ships that all operate the current routes. These vessels can carry 600 passengers as well as freight and vehicles.
Ships facilities include a cinema that shows recent releases. Tickets for these showings can be purchased in advance or can also be purchased onboard during the voyage.

Ferry lounges are spacious and comfortable. Facilities also feature comfortable cabins and children's play areas. Dining options include an a la carte and self service restaurant where the menu features a variety of locally-grown produce. Passengers can enjoy a drink at one of the bars on board. During peak season, live entertainment is provided.
